Hello Adoption Writers!
Today is my adopted daughter's 8th birthday! She has been 'home' with us since the tender age of 9 months, so we've been able to celebrate many birthdays with her. The amazing thing is . . . this is the FIRST birthday I'm not in tears (well, not yet anyway.) As her adoptive mom, I have cried buckets the week leading up to her special day--I think because of the fact that I didn't give birth to her and that I wasn't there for her when she was born weighing all of…

i had so much fun reading your website late last evening. Thanks for writing. I am in private practice as a counselor working with folks from 5 to 85. I'm most excited about the coaching I am doing with parents of adopted children. They are such a committed, motivated group of parents.
p.s. My youngest, Jenny, is 7. I adopted her from Russia at 2. She was born weighing in at 1 1/2 lbs. A real charmer too. I'm frequently moved to tears when I realize God's goodness.
Joy,
sharon
Thanks for joining us -- I really hope that manuscript you're working on finds a home soon!

Thank you for the compliment on my books and for the offer of a review.
I would absolutely LOVE the contact info for Homeschool E-store. That would be great! I know e-books have not caught on with many people, so an E-store would be the perfect place for Adoption Stories from the Bible.
I'm a little frazzled at the moment--but in a good way. My family just got back from a trip to Colorado to see my family. And now my husband's family is in town. Before we left, I heard from an editor who wants me to add 10,000 words to a manuscript they are highly considering publishing. And I'm in the middle of writing another manuscript that an editor is currently waiting for the proposal and first three chapters.
Can I multiply myself? (Did you see that movie Multiplicity with Andie McDowell and Michael Keaton?)
Probably more than you wanted to know! :)
Thanks for the welcome!
Sherry
Your books look fantastic! I absolutely LOVE children's books. If you ever need a review done, please let me know. I do lots of them to share on my blog.
Your devotional e-book would be a great resource for homeschoolers. Have you checked into making it available on Homeschool E-store? My friend is their marketing director, so let me know if you need any contact info.
Welcome to Adoption Writers!

What a wonderful place to share with others about adoption! Thanks Laura!
I'm in the process of getting my website up and running, so please be patient with me.
I can't wait to make new friends!
