I am an adoptive mom (three boys, ages 9, 5, and 4). My first novel, The Making of Isaac Hunt (Moody Publishers, Lift Every Voice, 2007), is the story of a young biracial man who sets out on a journey to find his birthmother.

Point of clarification: I am NOT the Linda Hargrove that wrote Wings Across the Moon. Although I wish I was; great book. I love the illustrations too. ;-)

It's never too late to start counseling, Linda! At 35 months, your child is at a good age for interacting with an adoption and attachment literate therapist! If you haven't already, read Deborah Gray's Attaching in Adoption for some great ideas about how to choose and use a therapist.

Thanks a lot for the welcome. I have an e book on booklocker.com under the family heading called "MacKenzie's Hope" about my experiences as a birth mom.

Thanks, Susan and Heidi, for checking out my site. Yes, I did the promo myself. More fun and easier than I thought it would.
