I am the mom of 6 kids, 2 of which are adopted. I was also a foster parent for unattached children, and during that time came to understand the importance of bonding and attachment. I currently own a business marketing baby carriers to facilitate that process. Our goal is to put carriers into the hands of as many adoptive parents as possible, so we make sure that our costs stay low. Link is below. Also see tweetiepiebaby.ning.com
I am the director of Maple Star; we mostly do foster care and some adoptions. I am also a licensed therapist and only work with failing adoptions. Glad that you understand all of these issues.
You've got some fabulou products. I wish I had known about them when I adopted my little ones. Thanks for adding me as a friend. I look forward to getting to know you better.
Nannette, your products are awesome! And they are needed by our adoption community in such a big way. Have you thought about possibly asking the agencies to include your company info in their info packets and such for traveling? I have had a few ask for Mei Tai carrier seamstresses, so many that are aware of the necessity of bonding are looking!! Maybe even contact the Adoption Magazines to let them know you are interested in teaching bonding through wearing? Your creations are beautiful!!!
Hello, we're not actively searching right now but hope to begin one of these days. With the economy the way it is & my husband facing an inevitable lay-off, we're hoping to get straightened out & see where the good Lord leads us. How about you? Are you in the process of trying to adopt?
Hi! I'm "new" too. We are foster parents (don't have any placements right now) & would love to expand on our family one day. Hope you're having a great weekend!
