- Hi. My four children came not from my blood, but from my heart. I adopted four abused, drug addicted children in the 80s. I had no clue that it would be any different than if I had give them life. The following twenty years was a journey full of exquisite joy, undescribable pain, and wisdom I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. Now I'm writing about it.
