Hope's Boy, The True Story of a Young Mother's Struggle with Mental Illness and Her Son's Life in Foster Child Without Her
My memoir, Hope's Boy, was recently released from Hyperion Books. Hope's Boy is the story of my young mother's struggle with mental illness, and my life without her as a foster child after I was taken from her at age seven.
After eleven years in foster care, I attended Wesleyan University and Harvard Law School. I am now a lawyer who works on behalf of women and children living in poverty or involved in child welfare systems. I worked to improve the process and procedures involved in adopting children out of foster care, as well as with the establishment of National Adoption Day.
Hope's Boy has been fortunate to receive some outstanding reviews. It has been named a:
NY Times Bestseller
LA Times Bestseller
Publishers' Weekly Bestseller
People Magazine Critic's Choice
LA Times Discoveries Book
Reader's Digest Featured Book
2008 Elle Magazine Readers' Prize
Borders Original Voices Pick
Book Sense Pick
I'd be honored if you would take a look at it, and would very much like to hear your thoughts. For more information, please see HopesBoy.com

Andrew,
Thanks for the friend request. I checked out your website. You have an incredible story to tell and I'm so glad that you are dedicating your life to children in foster care. We need people like you to advocate for our children. We adopted our youngest daughter from the foster care system. She is such a blessing to our family. God bless—Sherry
I do reviews on my blog and am always looking for ways to promote adoption among the homeschooling community. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help promote your book.
Welcome to Adoption Writers,
