A couple of years ago I stumbled across a website where authors could post about their manuscripts and publishers could choose to contact them for more info. I can't find the website now. I thought it was connected to Zondervan but I think I'm mistaken...? Has anyone heard of this website? I am having a tough time finding a publisher for a manuscript I've completed about my daughter's adoption and I'd like to try this. Also, if you know any Christian publishers willing to just take e-mail queries, let me know. All ideas are welcome. E-mail me at thompsondee@bellsouth.net
I've heard about a couple of places--their names escape me because I haven't had my caffeine yet today. I have heard varying reports about them at writers' conferences -- some editors say they have "discovered" authors via these directories, but most say that they are so inundated with pitches from agents and unsolicited manuscripts as it is, that they rarely visit these sites.
Have you considered custom publishing? WinePress is a good Christian custom publisher to work with. I know them well and can vouch for them.
I haven't used them, but I think you are referring to these:
